Holocaust Memorial Day
Leading up to Holocaust Memorial Day, a day of commemoration on 27 January, the Anne Frank House will host a webinar about Stories that Move.
‘To build up a future you have to know the past’ – Otto Frank, 1967.
Starting with this quote from the father of Anne Frank, we will look at how the life stories of people who experienced discrimination and persecution in the past still speak to us today.
We will also look at some inspiring ways in which young people take action to make the past relevant for their peers.
Exploring the lives of the diplomat Selahattin Ülkümen, and of Simone Veil, who survived Auschwitz and later became the first president of the European Parliament you will get to know two of the personal histories that form the core of Stories that Move.
The webinar offers a chance to get to know:
- the methodology of blended learning and visible thinking
- the historical biographies in learning path 3: Life stories
- the questions and assignments in this learning path
The webinar will be led by experienced Stories that Move trainers.
After signing up you will receive a link in your mailbox.
