Ideally, learners will get out of this tool something that makes them understand their own situation better, by connecting with someone else’s personal story and the broader history of discrimination, social change and human rights. Developing the toolkit, I greatly enjoyed the intensive international discussions about the pedagogical and conceptual principles, but the best bits were the young people’s stories. I have more experience teaching face to face than online, but there are substantial advantages in mixing the two in a blended learning process.
